MS Ekeren is a secondary school located in the north of Antwerp (BE). It offers general education at students aged 13 and 14. It shares its campus with KA Ekeren, a general secondary school offering education for students aged 15 to 18. Both schools work closely together since most of the students go from one school to the other. Even though Ekeren is located close to Antwerp, one of the biggest cities in Belgium, its surroundings can best be described as rural. MS Ekeren does not have a multicultural public but does have 33% GOK pupils (equal chance education) and therefore intends to improve the general interest in foreign languages/cultures and tolerancy between different cultures by setting up this Comenius project. MS Ekeren will be the coordinating school within La Grande Bouffe.
